The senior account manager will serve as the primary client contact on day-to-day development and implementation of marketing communications programs.
- Responsible for the execution of programs and/or projects to ensure completion on strategy, on time and within budget.
- Maintains all necessary records for assigned accounts, including initiating conference reports, client correspondence, and account plan updates.
- Demonstrates understanding of account business and updates creative, production, media and PR departments on account activity.
- Obtains client approval of development and production estimates for all client-related projects.
- Remains knowledgeable at all times about the status of projects, obtains client feedback and maintains record of changes/revisions in project management software.
- Keeps senior management informed of the status of projects and alerts them to any possible problems.
- Initiates creative brief for all account projects and collaborates with creative team to execute accordingly.
- Reviews and evaluates all final creative executions, proofs all layouts and copy and obtains client approvals as needed.
- Demonstrates and tracks accountability and performance metrics for all programs and/or projects.
- Keeps client informed on status of all projects including distribution of status reports, production timelines or other verbal or written updates.
- Develops and prepares marketing plans and recommendations on an ongoing basis.
- Develops and conducts client presentations as needed to account teams and clients.
- Identifies opportunities to grow client business and billings and maintains satisfactory levels of gross income/profitability on assigned accounts.
- Participates as required with new business research, proposals and presentations.
